You will love this paste on a slice of bread, on top of soup, in a sauce and most importantly when you are sick – it is one piece of health, as most of ingredients are raw and with high anti-inflammatory properties.

It is not very hot, maybe 1 in scale 1-5 – says a person who does not like very spicy.

Garlic-chilli paste

  • 4 sun dried tomatoes
  • 2 tea spoons of Himalayan or sea salt
  • 1 tea spoon of turmeric
Boil water. Put sun dried tomatoes into a jar in which you will be blending your paste and pour hot water over it for softening. Add salt and turmeric.
  • 2 chillis
Clean and remove seeds from chillies (the hotness sits in seeds).
  • 8 cloves garlic
  • same amount of ginger
  • same amount of horseradish
Clean and peel all ingredients.
If you do not have a very powerful food processor/blender, and specifically if your ingredients are somewhat dry, cut into pieces and mix well in jar with hot water and tomatoes so they soften:

  • crush garlic with side of a knife and cut into pieces
  • cut ginger into small pieces and horseradish into very small pieces
  • cut chillies into 1 cm stripes
  • lemon (no seeds!)
  • 1 tea spoon of quality honey
Put all ingredients into the jar. Pour over lemon juice, cut lemon scraps into pieces and throw them in, add honey. Blend all together until smooth.
  • 8 table spoons of olive oil
Add olive oil as a final step and blend one more time.
  • 2 small jars with caps
Put your jars and caps into sink, boil water and fill jars and caps with it. After 5 minutes remove water and shake the jars off so they loose remaining drops. Put the paste inside so that nothing falls onto the small jars’ closing. Store in cool place.
  • Servings: ~30
  • Healthy: 10 (even though tomatoes are dry, they were treated with high temperature, which gives them anticancer properties [1])
  • Difficulty: simple
  • Time: 15 minutes
